1. Support Magic from Newbie Guides
New characters can receive a wide range of free support magic through the Newbie Guide NPC located in each village. These buffs are available to players who are during the range of level 8 - 39, and haven't fulfilled their second-class transfer. Buffs last for one hour and are based on the level of character as follows:
 
Levels 8 - 39: Blessing of Protection and Wind Walk
Levels 11 - 38: Shield
Levels 12 - 37: Bless the Body (Fighter), Bless the Soul (Mystic)
Levels 13 - 36: Vampiric Rage (Fighter), Acumen (Mystic)
Levels 14 - 35: Regeneration (Fighter), Concentration (Mystic)
Levels 15 - 34: Haste (Fighter), Empower (Mystic)
Levels 16 - 34: Life Cubic
 
2. Extra Quest Awards
 
Characters of lineage2 account assigned as new characters, if they perform default quests, will receive extra quest awards, such as some amount of lineage2 adena that aren't given to the other characters. Fighters receive 13k No-Grade Soulshots while Mystics receive 6k No-Grade Spiritshots. They receive Soulshots and Spiritshots twice: Kicking off the game for the first time, and when they perform the first weapon quest around level 10. Moreover, new characters will also receive more awards in a lot of quests.
 
3. Reduced-Cost Equipment Upgrades (Exchange Equipment)
 
New-created characters are able to purchase higher-level lineage2 items by paying the difference in the price between the equipment they presently have and the higher-level equipment they're willing to purchase. In the starting villages, Gludin, and Gludio Castle Town, all No-Grade weapons, armor, and jewelry can be traded at the appropriate traders. Un-equip lineage2 item you'd love to exchange and speak to the NPC merchant in the village. Select "Exchange Equipment" to see what upgrade lineage II items are available to you, and how much they will cost.
