In lineage 2 world, you can play by yourself at the beginning of the initial lower levels, make a group in pvp field, or searching for and exploiting a new surroundings time permitting. When it comes to pets in L2, I really recommend wolf to you guys.
 
Therefore, you may asked yourself over and over again, in particular during the ages of C1 and C2. Why Get A Wolf? Wolves are hard to keep alive, to raise, and worse still, expensive right? There're a couple of arguments as to why wolves are preferable over the pet of scales.
 
In my personal opinion, bring up a wolf as a pet in lineage 2 is cheaper, while comparing to hatchlings. Wolf food is so much cheaper, then the hatchling variety. The same goes for weapons and armor (lineage 2 items).  Wolves also have higher p.atk then hatchlings, thus they deal out more damage per hit. It is kind of sad really, because if you take into consideration the millions of lineage 2 adena hatchling weapons cost, they still deal out a fraction of the damage dealt by your equivilant wolf.
